I am a chili cook from Enfield as well as the organizer for The New England Regional Chili Cookoff which is May 3,2008 in Somers,CT. which will benefit the Enfield Food Shelf. The purpose of my email is to challenge ALL of you to come and make your BEST FIREHOUSE/POLICE DEPARTMENT/EMT CHILI ! That is not saying that we wouldn't be proud to have you come and cook Competition Chili too! We will be fortunate to have THREE chili teams of Fire Fighters. One from Worchester,MA.,and 2 from New York! These guys are the best of the best....but perhaps you can beat them? I have a feeling that one of the teams from Enfield will win....but,that's because I'm loyal to my town. Who knows....maybe YOU really do make good chili? We'll have to see on May 3,2008 won't we? It will be a great way to support the Enfield Food Shelf and your community as well as have some fiery fun with other PD's/FD's/EMT's! As our friends in NY say,"We run into burning buildings when everyone else is running out"!
