Greetings Friends:Join us on Fat Tuesday for our fundraiser lunch for the MS Society. We are serving soup, bread & dessert in the Memorial Library Staff Lounge on Tuesday between11:00-1:00 or until the soup is gone. Featured Soups are Pasta Fagiole and Asian Peanut Soup. The suggested free will offering is $5. All money raised will be donated to the MS Society. This is our 6th annual fundraiser to support the Marquette University Streetwalkers, an MS Walk team captained by our colleague, Cindy Kucher. This is what Cindy wants us to know:Why We Fight MS. Having multiple sclerosis (MS) means that you may suddenly have blurry vision. Or that your memory will fail you for no apparent reason. Or that you may not always be able to walk. The symptoms of MS are different, and often devastating, for everyone - the only certainty is that it will affect yet another person every hour of every day. Why I Walk. I’ve registered for the Christopher & Banks MS Walk because I want to do something for the people who have been diagnosed - and because I want to do everything to prevent more people from learning what it means to live with this disease. Today, there is no cure for MS, and with diagnosis occurring most frequently between the ages of 20 and 50, many individuals face a lifetime filled with unpredictability. Why You Should Sponsor Me. The National MS Society - Wisconsin Chapter will use funds collected from the MS Walk to not only support research for a cure tomorrow, but also to provide programs and services which address the needs of people living with MS today. Because we can fight this disease by simply walking, because we have chosen to help thousands of people through a contribution to the MS Walk, we are now getting closer to the hour when no one will have to hear the words, “You have MS.” http://main.nationalmssociety.org/site/TR?pg=personal&fr_id=5660&px=1726114For more information about MS http://main.nationalmssociety.org/site/PageServer?pagename=WLK_WIG_homepageSo as the MS Society says, “Together, we can provide programs and direct services for those affected by MS. Together, we can move one giant step closer to a cure. Together, we can change the future by acting today.”

Contact me if you have any questions or if you’d like to help with clean up. On behalf of the usual suspects, thank you for your support.

Molly
